Whether you're chasing Murray cod, gathering around the fire with friends, or simply escaping the demands of everyday life, the Cod Cabin offers a peaceful, authentic country experience. Spend your days fishing, exploring the bush, spotting native wildlife, or simply relaxing while listening to the sounds of nature.

Good to know

• 4WD access only – A high-clearance four-wheel drive vehicle is required to access the cabin safely.
• Fishing is strictly sports fishing and catch and release. All fish must be returned to the water. No fish are to be kept, killed or removed from the property.
• Lure fishing only – no bait fishing.
• Rod and line fishing only. Droppers, set lines and hand lines are not permitted.
• During the Murray Cod breeding season, 1 September to 30 November, the river is closed to all fishing.
• Fishing is subject to NSW fishing regulations, including seasonal closures and licence requirements.
• Please leave the river exactly as you found it. No rubbish, fishing line, hooks, bottles, cans or other waste is to be left anywhere along the river, riverbank or property. Everything you take to the river must come back with you and be disposed of in the bins provided.
• BYO linen and bedding, or hire it as an optional extra.
• Limited mobile reception (Telstra generally has around two bars of service).
• No Wi-Fi, giving you the chance to truly switch off and reconnect with nature.

We love sharing this special stretch of river with our guests, and protecting it is incredibly important to us. Our fishing, river and property rules are part of staying at Cod Cabin, particularly our sports fishing and catch-and-release policy.

If this style of fishing isn't what you're looking for, Cod Cabin may not be the right fit for your stay. We simply ask that everyone who books is happy to respect these rules and help us look after the river and property for the future.

Failure to follow our fishing, river or property rules may result in your stay being ended and you being asked to leave the property.
